Published by "Le Promeneur" in 2003, this book reproduces the written notebooks of Barcelo between 1988 and 2000 in Africa (Gao, Tangier, Abidjan, Cogoli, Ségou). Barcelo write first :"I will say the things very directly, almost bluntly, because it there does not have for the moment another way of saying them" ; the artist tells its days of painter and of man, writes lists (a mania), composes of the poems. All is said without censure, Africa always very present. We also realize that Barcelo is a very good reader. Some drawings and watercolours are also reproduced issued from the notebooks of Barcelo.
